Already approx. 13 thousand qualified employees are employed by the centres of modern services for business (BSS) operating in Poznan. There are more than 70 in the Greater Poland capital city. Representatives of Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency, which developed report entitled "BSS IN Poland", draw attention to the diversification of this kind of centres in Poznan.

From 5 October to 21 November will be period for submissions to the INNOMOTO competition financed from the funds of IDOP Actions 1.2 (the Intelligent Development Operational Program). The automotive industry companies can receive support concerning research and development activities. The maximum value of the qualified costs may amount to even PLN 20 million.

Poznan is attractive for business- that is a fact known to everyone. The confirmation of this are companies that were established and still are being established in the Greater Poland capital city. It was once again appreciated by the Forbes magazine, by placing Poznan on the second place in its annual ranking of large cities attractive for business.

Bridgestone has joined the group of tenants at Maraton, an office building developed by Skanska Property Poland at Królowej Jadwigi Street in Poznan. In its new office providing nearly 2 000 sqm of space, the biggest international manufacturer of rubber products and tires will launch a shared services center.

Warsaw held the Gala of Polish Outsourcing Leaders "Outsourcing Stars" for the third time. It is an event taking place in Poland, during which the outsourcing industry summarizes their whole-year activities. The Gala is also the final of the Outsourcing Stars competition. It is a programme of annual awards for the most rapidly developing outsourcing entities, and organisations which achieve the best results in the industry and its direct business environment. Poznań received the award in the category "City" for the second time.

The second largest computer performance in Poland, and eightieth in the world - all in Poznań. WK Leung from CTO Huawei and prof. Jan Węglarz, a representative of the director of IChB PAN for PCSS, have launched a computer system HPC "Orzeł/Eagle" with the performance of 1.4 PFlops, that occupies 80th position on the list of the TOP500 fastest systems in the world. In this way, they created the PCSS-Huawei Innovation Centre.
