The driver support systems available for the new Crafter provide an additional convenience and increase comfort and safety of travelling. The new Crafter, is equipped with a chassis, which has been designed from scratch, electromechanical steering system, engines which are reliable, more efficient and optimized, both in terms of long travels and the city traffic, a well thought-out solutions for loading, practically prepared place of work of the driver and a unique number of assisting systems.

"At this point, there should be a particular attention drawn to the fact that the whole concept of the vehicle was designed from scratch - in accordance with the requests of the clients", said Eckhard Scholz, Ph.D., President of the Management Board of the Volkswagen Utility Vehicles brand during the presentation in Ofenbach. He also mentioned that: "Development of the new Crafter was a unique opportunity to avoid compromises and to design a model fully utilising our long-term experience in this segment of the market. The new Crafter constitutes a unique combination of the needs of both the user and the manufacturer. In other words the vehicle was prepared taking into consideration the wishes of our clients".
