Commune Description And Characteristics

Tarnowo Podgórne is one of 17 communes situated in the immediate neighbourhood of the city of Poznań on the Warsaw-Berlin national road. The commune occupies a surface of 101.4 km². Many well-known national and foreign companies are seated here providing over 14,000 work places. Currently the commune has over 19,000 inhabitants and the number is constantly growing. The inhabitants utilise modern educational and recreation infrastructure: there are new schools, kindergartens, sports halls, fields and cycling paths. Plans for the nearest future include development of the area at the Lusowskie Lake. This lake and the Sama River trough constitute Protected Landscape Area with a surface of 1010 ha.

Investment Profile

Good location is one of the main attributes which contribute to the investment attractiveness of Tarnowo Podgórne. On the west it borders with Poznań, the capital of the agglomeration. It takes only 10 minutes to drive to the Ławica Airport. Soon, the western ring road of the city of Poznań - the S11 express road will run through the commune. Additional advantages of the commune are its stable tax policy with favourable allowances in relation to real estate tax and a well-developed technical infrastructure network.

There are 2500 economic entities in the commune with both foreign and Polish capital. It is the seat of companies operating in the field of motorisation (MAN, Remark-Kayser, Scania, Volvo), food industry (Imperial Tobacco, Elite Polska, Kraft Food, Milano), logistics (Prologis, Lidl, Schenker, Verhoeven), printing industry (Saueressig, Schattdecor, Polska Press) and many others (Auchan, Leroy Merlin, Outlet Village, Grundfos, Buderus, Balma, Herlitz, Stihl). Since the early 1990s over 450 million dollars have been invested in the commune. Taking into consideration the new inhabitants, the commune has prepared a wide offer of land for residential construction.

Investment Offer

Several hundred hectares of land await investors - according to valid spatial management plans these areas are designated for production, warehouses, services and trade. They are situated on the Poznań-Berlin national road no. 92 and on the Poznań-Buk voivodeship road no. 307. These areas belong to private persons. They have access to the technical infrastructure network.
