Welcome Meeting for Incoming Erasmus Students of 2019/20 Academic Year

On the 5th of November 2019, Poznan University of Medical Sciences hosted a Welcome Meeting for Incoming Erasmus students. This year, we have welcomed students from across multiple countries such as: Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Hungary, Latvia, Turkey, and Bulgaria.

It is also the first time we have had an opportunity to welcome a medical student from Papua New Guinea (from Divine World University) who is visiting us for the duration of the winter term.

We hope this Academic Year will prove successful and will bring our students joy and enable them to make unforgettable memories.

Erasmus Day

Poznan University of Medical Sciences (PUMS) has been carrying out an annual "Erasmus Day' event, aimed at our Incoming and Outgoing Erasmus students. Held usually on a sunny May day, this celebratory meeting promises each Academic Year, to be a highlight for the international community, that forms the heart and soul of our University.

During the event, we name the winners of the annual Photo Competition: "My Erasmus Experience', where Erasmus students share their 3 best photos showing creative compositions of their Erasmus experience, for a chance to have them publicly displayed at one of our University's sites.

Each year, all those interested in entering the competition, can send up to 3 best photos of their choice and add a brief description or a title for each photo. There are no other rules. Students themselves decide what qualifies. The judges are usually looking to award the best images from across diverse categories (from Architecture and Landscape through Still Life and Street Photography, to photos showing Student life experiences).

This Academic Year 2018/19, the winners of the Photo Competition all came from the Faculty of Medicine I:

1st Place: Paula Ziajka

(Erasmus exchange in Plovdiv, Bulgaria)

2nd Place: Paulina Wójcik

(Erasmus exchange in Plovdiv, Bulgaria)

3rd Place: Julia Zimon

(Erasmus exchange in Kiel, Germany)
