Meting with Mayumi Suzuki about the exhibition The Restoration Will / The Place To Belong

The exhibition at the City Gallery Arsenał will showcase the work of Mayumi Suzuki, who wants to share her personal tragedy. It will contain the archives and visual traces left in the ruins of her family home after 2011 tsunami. In her photographic book called The Restoration Will she combines archival works, her father's portfolio, elements of a destroyed, family photographic studio and contemporary photographs. The cycle is a commemoration of her lost loved ones. In The Place to Belong series, presented in Poznań for the first time, the artist expands her exploration of archives and traces of the catastrophe.
