Open lecture by prof. Olav Slaymaker

The Adam Mickiewicz University and the City of Poznań invite you to the next open lecture entitled "Our future world' which will be given by professor Olav Slaymaker, specialist in the field of landscape science from the University of British Columbia, Canada. The lecture will be held on 24th September at 11:00 a.m. in Professor T. Bartkowski Hall at the Faculty of Geographical and Geological Science at the Adam Mickiewicz University at 10 Bogumiła Krygowskiego street.

Professor Olav Slaymaker's interests and scientific research focus on landscape science in a broad sense, in particular on the balance of water resources and raw materials, based on geomorphological knowledge. His regional research is focussed on the mountain environment, in particular of British Columbia, Scandinavia, Austrian Alps, Japan, Ethiopia and Taiwan. For many years he has been dealing with the causes and effects of climate change on a global scale. His wide environmental interests include also the global problems of the environmental management. In recent years, he extended his scientific interests and included the meta-problems of the global changes of the environment and environmental sustainability.
