The programme enables to undertake Master's degree studies at universities supervised by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education in the fields of pure, natural, technological, agricultural, forestry and veterinary sciences.

Stefan Banach - a highly regarded Polish mathematician, co-founder of the Lviv School of Mathematics and a branch of mathematics called functional analysis. He authored more than sixty scientific works and created many mathematical theorems of fundamental importance. Since 2013, the Polish government offers foreign students a scholarship named after this outstanding Polish scientist.

The programme embraces:

free education (exemption from tuition) at the Master's degree studies in Poland;

payment of NAWA's monthly scholarship to cover the cost of living.

Master's degree studies are preceded by a compulsory monthly language and adaptation course preparing scholarship holders for studies in Poland (also on scholarship terms). Thanks to this scholarship, holders can improve their knowledge of Polish language and train in major subjects related to the course of their future studies even before the beginning of the academic year.

Who is the programme addressed to?

The scholarship offer is addressed to foreigners from the Eastern Partnership countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine) and Central Asian countries (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan) who are students of the final year of the first-cycle studies in the field of pure, natural, agricultural, forestry, veterinary sciences or have completed the first-cycle studies in these areas - but no earlier than in the academic year 2015/16 and know Polish language at least at the B1 level.

If there are no first-cycle studies in the programme country, there is a possibility of applying for uniform Master's or equivalent studies graduates.
