It is the Faculty of Modern Languages and Literatures that has probably the largest potential of cultural and ethnic diversity among academic staff of our University. This potential is used every day during classes and lectures, however, it should also be made available to and appreciated by a wider public. Therefore, it is the third time, when the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development has been celebrated in order to both promote our University and contribute to shaping the attitude of tolerance and openness to cultural diversity among academic community in Poznań.
This year we invite you to the main seat of the Faculty of Modern Languages and Literatures (Collegium Novum, Al. Niepodległości 4) on 11th May 2018, 10.00 am - 4.00 pm. to see the exhibition of translations of "Pan Tadeusz' (the greatest Polish national epic), a session of academic posters, a presentation of psycholinguistic laboratory, Speed Taking with representatives of 17 different cultures as well as a picnic of culinary diversity.

On the occasion of the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, the Faculty of Modern Languages and Literatures at Adam Mickiewicz University announces a photo competition entitled "Cultural diversity on camera'. The competition is open to everybody. One selected photograph concerned with the topic should be sent by 6th May 2018 to fbwneo@gmail.com. We kindly ask for pictures in their original size. Attractive prizes are waiting for the winners! The winners of the competition will be announced on 12th May 2018 in Pawilon (ul. Ewangelicka 1) at 7.30 pm.
