The Poznan University of Economics and Business, and the City of Poznan invite you to attend an open lecture by Professor Anthony Sounders. The lecture "Mind the gap: the difference between European and US loan rates" will take place on 28 April 2017 (Friday), at 12:00 am, in the Assembly Hall of the Poznan University of Economics and Business at 10 Niepodległości St.

Professor Anthony Sounders is the director and employee of the Department of Finance at the Stern School of Business in New York, and the deputy director at the Salomon Brothers Center for the Study of Financial Institutions. He is a member of the Nominating Committee for the Bank of Sweden's Alfred Nobel Prize in Economics, the Advisory Committee for Investments at Zurich Financial Services, and the Board of Scientific Advisors of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System of the United States of America. He also is the Chief Editor of scientific magazines, including the Journal of Banking and Finance, and the Journal of Financial Markets, Instruments, and Institutions. He is author of numerous known monographs and textbooks from the field of finances, including the Financial Institutions Management: Risk Management Perspective, and the Credit Risk Measurement.

The Professor is also a member of the following advisory bodies: the International Monetary Fund, the Federal Reserve Board, the Federal Reserve Bank in New York, the Comptroller of Currency. His most important achievements include: 1st position in the ranking of most frequently published authors in 16 key financial magazines in the last 50 years (2005) and the 1st position in the ranking of the highest number of publications in 7 most important financial magazines between the years 1959 - 2008 (2009).
