The City of Poznań and Adam Mickiewicz University invite you to an open lecture entitled: "Cultural Strategy and Economic Development' delivered by Professor Jonathan Vickery - an expert in the field of urban research and urban cultural policy. The lecture will be held on 15 April 2013 at 10 a.m. in the Faculty of Social Sciences of AMU, building E, at 89 Szamarzewskiego Street in Poznań.

Professor Jonathan Vickery is an expert in the field of urban research and urban cultural policy. He acts as the director for studies development within the Centre for Cultural Policy Studies at the prestigious University of Warwick, UK. His areas of interest encompass cultural and creative sectors, urban development, cultural public spheres, democracy and access to culture. His most recent studies concerned cultural public visual sphere of the city, cultural urban regeneration and the role of visual arts in this regard.

Professor Vickery is the founder and director of two attractive masters programs in the field of cultural policy, culture and media. Within these programs, he has authored 16 courses. He has supervised over 100 masters dissertations. Professor Vickery is also an art historian and theoretician, an expert in the field of issues related to museums and cultural heritage. He has published over 100 works in the field of urban cultural policy, cultural urban regeneration, urban visual sphere, the role of aesthetics in the management of organisations and European cultural policies. He is a member of numerous prestigious institutions and associations.
