Renata Putzlacher - Buchtová (Czech Republic) 04.12.2014

The City of Poznań and Adam Mickiewicz University (AMU) invite you to a meeting with Dr Renata Putzlacher-Buchtová of Masaryk University in Brno - an outstanding literary scholar, poet, author of theatre scripts and lyrics.

Translation workshops will be held on December 4th, 2014, at 2:00 p.m., in room 015 of the Institute of Slavonic Philology AMU, in ul. Fredry 10, Poznań.

The meeting entitled: Czech - Polish affinities out of choice. About the book "In the Avion cafè, which does not exist" will be held on December 4th, at 5:00 p.m., in room 285 of the ISP.

Renata Putzlacher - Buchtová - a poet, author of short stories, translator, publicist, author of lyrics, theatrical adaptations and plays. She is attached to the region of Cieszyn.

She translates from Czech and Slovak, mainly poetry, dramas and lyrics.

Together with Jaromir Nohavica she opened a poetry cafè AVION and Polish - Czech artistic association Spolek - Towarzystwo AVION, which she has been presiding since February 2000.

She is also a scientific worker of Masaryk University in Brno.

She is a laureate of many awards in poetry contests in Poland and Czech Republic, e.g. of the 1994 Silver Link Award (Nagroda Srebrnych Spinek) granted by Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Ostrava - for her translation works, 1994 Award of the Chairman of the Jury in the Georg Trakl Literary Contest, 1996 Marek Jodłowski Literary Award, award within the Kościelscy 2002 Literary Award and translation award "Literatures around the World" for the 2012.
