Archidiocesan Museum in Gniezno


The Archdiocesan Museum holds a collection of sacral sculpture and painting, liturgical fabrics, ­coffin portraits and votive offerings.

Exhibitions of sacral sculpture, ecclesiastical garments, burial exhibits in Baroque style and exhibitions of personal items of Polish Cardinal Wyszynski and Pope John Paul II. The museum is well-known for the relic of Saint Wojciech, a precious artifact in the shape of an arm. The relic was offered to Boleslaw Chrobry by Emperor Otton III in 1000.
