Jaracz Museum of Milling Industry in Jaracz

Museum was established in 1981. It is located an old mill settlement in Jaracz (Rogoźno commune, Pia province) by the Wełna river on the fringes of Notecka Park, about 2 km from the road leading from Poznan to Piła (route No-11). The river Wełna is a reservation over the length of 3.5 km, which increases the attractiveness of this place. Splendid surroundings are beneficial to the development of seightseeing tours to this place. The main points of the Museum interests are processing and milling industry, mill industrial building (mills, windmills) and rural industry (smithy, oil mill, water-driven fulling mill). Another important subject the Museum is dealing with is the history of inland fishing with regard to its biological and technical aspects (fish biology, techniques of fishings, fisherman's tools and implements).
