The jurors thoroughly analyzed one hundred European cities and chose the best ones. The city of Poznań won in the category of local authorities' support.

An important part of this achievement is the fact that applications for this competition category were not open. The award was granted on the basis of the results of the Emerging Europe study and the analysis of FDI experts. The jury considered six aspects: business climate, infrastructure and connectivity, highly qualified staff, quality of life, local authorities'  support and economic potential.

The award for Poznań was collected by representatives of the Investor Relations Department during the Future of Emerging Europe Summit and Awards 2022 gala organised by Emerging Europe in Brussels.

- I am proud that it is Poznań that can be called the Business-Friendly City of the Year among so many competitors from all over the continent. This distinction shows that our city is constantly developing, and the investors operating in it can count on our support. Undoubtedly, the merit lies here on the part of the Investor Relations Department, which is dynamically operating to make our market more attractive - says Jacek Jaśkowiak, the Mayor of the City of Poznań.

The award is not the only distinction recently received by Poznań. At the beginning of June, the 5th edition of the Top Woman in Real Estate competition took place. This is a unique initiative to promote women in the real estate and construction industry, who are stereotypically perceived as male professional fields.

The jubilee gala of the competition brought the first victory for the Investor Relations Department in the Best Team category, which is intended for teams managed by women, distinguished last year from others in this sector. A strong women's team has always been one of the strengths of the City of Poznań.

- We are very pleased that the Investor Relations Department was awarded the Best Team title. Working in such a unique and ambitious team of women provides new inspiration every day. Together, we are not afraid to take on even the most difficult challenges. It is a great honour. I believe that we will be able to repeat this success also in the coming years - says Katja Lożina, Head of the Investor Relations Department team.
