House no. 98, The Leszczyński House
The history of the Leszczyński family goes back to the Middle Ages but it rose to power in the seventeenth century when several members of the family held the most important offices in the country. Stanisław Leszczyński, the governor of the Poznań province, was elected King of Poland twice (in 1704 and 1733). His grandfather Bogusław and father Rafał, who both held the post of starost general of the Wielkopolska province, were owners of the house.
