The Faculty of Art Education and Curatorial Studies of the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts in Poznań and the City of Poznań invite you to an online lecture delivered by Prof. Ursula Ströbele, held under the title "Silent Spring. Ursula Ströbele, Ph.D. (Germany), is an academic staff member of the Central Institute of Art History in Munich, one of the most prestigious academic and research facilities dealing with the history of art in Europe and in the world. Ursula Ströbele, Ph.D., focuses on issues related to sculpture in the 20th and 21st centuries, with particular emphasis on aspects concerning ecology and environmental protection. Her innovative and unique research concerns pioneering artistic activities, where the creators treated the issues of the impending climate catastrophe as crucial and important for human condition and existence. They are strongly embedded in the current discussion about the end of the Anthropocene and the dominant role of humans over nature.

Ursula Ströbele, Ph.D, is an undisputed authority on the history of modern and contemporary art. She is published by renowned publishing houses. She specializes in the works of Hans Haacke, among others. She works for one of the world's key research facilities in the field of art history. She brings together extensive theoretical knowledge with curatorial practice and curates exhibitions at prominent art institutions in Germany.
