A municipal aid station will be opened to collect food, personal hygiene products, clothing (in good condition or unused; underwear - unused) and warm coats for refugees from Ukraine. It will be open from 10 am to 8 pm at 27/29 Bukowska St. It is a fully accessible building and delivering the gifts to the place should not cause trouble to anyone.

The point will be staffed by voluntary workers: city councilors, members of the youth city council, officials and employees of city organizational units. The Point's work will be directly coordinated by employees of the Health and Social Issues Department.

- The interest in charity is enormous, so we are now trying to coordinate our activities and involve the residents of Poznań in specific work," says Jacek Jaśkowiak, the Mayor. - We want to make the most of their potential to help refugees. For our friends from Ukraine, all gestures and initiatives to support and help them are of special importance, as they are proof of solidarity and give them comfort.

The collected products will be used in three areas. Some of them will stay in Poznań - the City secures necessary resources in order to receive and care for migrants from Ukraine. It cooperates on an ongoing basis with non-governmental organizations that are willing to work for the benefit of refugees from Ukraine. In addition, the collected gifts will be transported to border towns, where the need for aid is now the most urgent. Finally, some of the collected products will be given directly to the people who have remained in Ukraine and who are threatened with great deprivation as a result of the ongoing war.
