On November 4, Peggy Frantzen, the Ambassador of Luxembourg, visited Poznań. She took up her post on October 13, and this was her first visit to Poznań. Previously, she served as ambassador in Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and India. Before visiting the city hall where she met Jacek Jaśkowiak, she saw the Old Market Square. "It's a beautiful place and made a strong impression on me," she said. During the meeting they discussed opportunities for cooperation between the cities of Luxembourg and Poznań, as well as the geopolitical situation. Poznań and Luxembourg are strategically connected. Near Poznań, in Swarzędz, there is an important logistics hub. The CLIP Group operates an automated transshipment terminal there, handling intermodal trains. This allows efficient rail connections between Swarzędz and Luxembourg, transporting trailers instead of entire trucks.
Jacek Jaśkowiak said that this year's summer was a record-breaking year for tourism in Poznań, with hotel occupancy increasing significantly. "We are also investing in business tourism and are ready for new hotels, which will allow us to host larger events and even more conferences," he said.
