In Poznań, the first mural on a road in Poland was created

"Drogal" - as its creators refer to it - was painted on Wartostrada near the St. Roch Bridge. It depicts a huge ruler that measures the characteristic elements of each of the 42 districts of the capital of Greater Poland. The mural was inaugurated on Saturday, June 25th, the second day of the Fyrtle Festival. Drogal is an example of how a city can be smart without using technology.

- Poznań is not only the center, but all 42 districts. Each of them is unique. We want residents to get to know their little homelands and be proud of the fact that living and working in their fyrtas, they create unique communities," says Jacek Jaskowiak, president of Poznań.

Watching the first mural on a road in Poland, one can find out, among other things, how deep the Kierskie Lake is, how big the diameter of the Arena in Lazarus is or how long the fire truck in Krzesiny is. The ruler ends at the 128th meter - that's how long the RTV tower in Piatkowo is.

The idea to create the drogal came from the cooperation of the City Hall's Creative Studio and the Smart City Team (representatives of the Digitalization and Cybersecurity Office).

Illustrations were prepared by the Poznań collective Ilu Nas Jest, and the performer of the "drogal" is the Mur All Group. As the organizers of the festival announce, the mural on the road will stay in the capital of Greater Poland for a longer period of time, becoming a new urban attraction under the name "Measure of Poznań."

- The Fyrtle Festival promotes not only locality, but also cooperation. The events are implemented by the City of Poznań together with partners, including Estrada Poznańska, Poznań Heritage Center, Warta Poznań, Malta Festival Poznań, Dom Kultury "Stokrotka", Musical Theater in Poznań, Centers for Local Initiatives and the Landscape Society - notes Cezary Tylinski, co-founder of the Fyrtle Festival and head of the City Hall's Creative Studio.
