Summary of the Hybrid Job Fair for People with (Dis)abilities

The inclusiveness and uniqueness of the fair is defined by its openness to a social group that has long struggled with exclusion on many levels. To come out with an offer of activation, also on the business front, is to recognise the enormous potential lying in the human capital of People with Disabilities, as many as 2.3 million of whom remain unemployed in the labour market in Q2 2022. These individuals can bring many benefits to businesses, including creating an image of a diverse organisation, standing up to fight against exclusion in the broadest sense, or raising awareness in the community, which could contribute to a change in mentality.

- What captured my attention during the fair was the large turnout and interest in the event, both from participants and organisers. The hybrid format also added to its attractiveness. I am also pleased that the business sector has opened up to this social group and noticed the potential that lies within them - says Edyta Fila, project manager at the City of Poznań's Investor Relations Department.

The idea behind the Hybrid Job Fair for People with (Dis)disabilities is to promote professional and social activity and promote employers from the business services sector willing and open to employ this group. The organisers also stressed the importance of breaking patterns and changing stereotypes surrounding places that employ people with disabilities. Partners included ABSL, ADM, Carlsberg Shared Services, Franklin Templeton, Grant Thornton, John Deere, Miele Global Services, Volkswagen Group Services, the City of Poznań, PFRON and ZUS.
