Voices Unite: "Silent Night" in Different Languages

"Silent Night," the world-famous Christmas carol, is performed every year in Poznań by both local residents and foreigners living in the city. This beautiful tradition spreads a message of tolerance and openness, bringing people together through music.

The photo shows a Christmas market at night, filled with a large crowd of people enjoying the festive atmosphere. The scene is beautifully illuminated with countless Christmas lights decorating the stalls and surrounding buildings. A giant Ferris wheel and a brightly lit Christmas tree dominate the background, adding to the magical holiday ambiance. Small wooden market huts and a clock tower are also visible, creating a traditional festive setting. The market is lively, cheerful, and full of holiday spirit. - grafika artykułu
Magical Nights at the Christmas Market

This year's Christmas caroling will take place on Thursday, December 18, at 6:00 PM at Freedom Square.

Join us for Christmas caroling this year on Thursday, December 18, at 6:00 PM at Freedom Square! On the steps of Arkadia, young people, university students, musicians, and soloists will perform-and everyone is welcome to join in. Beloved Christmas songs will be mixed with multilingual renditions of "Silent Night," spreading holiday cheer and togetherness.

The idea behind the event is the same every year - to spread a message of love, joy, and fellowship, and to make foreign students studying in the capital of Greater Poland feel that Poznań is an open, tolerant, and welcoming city.

The choice of the song is no accident. "Silent Night" is known almost worldwide and has been translated into over 300 languages and dialects.
Poznań Silent Night is one of the events accompanying the Bethlehem in Poznań celebration at Freedom Square. The Christmas market in the city centre will be open until January 6.
