One of the tasks was to rebuild the intersection of Karpia and Dworska Streets. Drivers gained new road surface, and pedestrians - more safety. Thanks to installation of island speed bumps on all three intersections, cars drive slower. The widening of the intersection itself enabled the passage of public transport vehicles.
The Municipal Road Administration (Zarzad Transportu Miejskiego- ZDM) carried out the first stage of reconstruction of St. Roch Street. Previously, between Serafitek Street and the bridge of St. Roch there was a thorn in the side of the road, which was covered with mud and puddles due to rain and parking cars. After the works were completed, drivers gained new parking spaces, and pedestrians and cyclists gained a comfortable road. Street lights have appeared, and trees have grown.
ZDM built new sidewalks on Floksowa Street (this was a continuation of works from previous years). Pedestrians can also move more comfortably on the southern side of Kurpinskiego street. The situation is similar in the streets: Krapkowicka (on the section from Junikowska Street to Ziębicka Street), Cyniowa (from Astrowa Street to Gerberowa Street) and Hrynakowskiego, where road lighting was additionally installed.
On Jaworowa Street the Municipal Roads Administration created a sidewalk and new parking spaces, benches and bicycle racks. On Jawornicka Street, in addition to the sidewalk, there is now also a pedestrian and bicycle path.
Parents can more comfortably and safely take their children to Kindergarten No. 32 on Chociszewskiego Street, where ZDM rebuilt the road and sidewalk and installed new lighting. It is also brighter on Hezjoda Street and Szuwarowa Street, where there are new street lamps. The intersection of Hetmańska and Dmowskiego streets has been rebuilt to increase traffic safety for all users.
In the Łomżyńska Tunnel under Warszawska Street the ZDM has installed platforms. Thanks to them, carers with children in baby carriages or people with disabilities can more easily get to bus stops or to the other side of the street.  Also for this reason access and driveway for people with disabilities to the clinic in ul. 28 Czerwca 1956, at the level of building 275, was rebuilt.
Full protective barriers were installed on Garbary Street near St. Francis Seraphim Church. The protection is intended to protect pedestrians on the narrow sidewalk between the roadway and the church building.
Bearing in mind people with visual dysfunctions, acoustic signalling devices have appeared at subsequent intersections in order to increase safety when crossing the road. It was installed, for example, at the junction of Piłsudskiego and Inflancka Streets.
This is only a part of last year's works carried out by the Municipal Road Administration, which aim at improving the living comfort of Poznań residents and their safety in road traffic. This year, the Municipal Road Administration will carry out more such works - their list is currently being approved.
