Poznań goes for the cup of Bicycle Capital of Poland
The action aims to motivate residents to healthy sport rivalry and having fun together to promote an active lifestyle. The rules are simple - cyclists download a free application specially created for the competition, which records the routes and their lengths. The participant decides for which city he "spins the kilometers".
The application works all over the world. It counts the kilometers driven, on the basis of which the winners of the competition will be determined. No matter where we are at the moment, we can collect valuable points for cities and teams of our choice. The application also gives access to workout history, information about calories burned or weather forecast. Moreover, it allows to collect special badges and to use discounts at action partners. Thanks to the application, particular towns and cities can create city games for their inhabitants and inform about local events.
Other features of the application include a friend tracker, access to additional statistics or the ability to continue interrupted workouts. It also has an English language version and the ability to import workouts from Garmin devices.

From 1st to 30th June the main part of the competition will take place. This year 56 cities have joined the competition. The city that wins the competition will receive the "Cup of Bicycle Capital of Poland". In case of winning three times in a row, the cup becomes the permanent possession of a given city. Last year this was done by Nowa Sól, which will no longer compete in 2022.
Apart from the national competition, where both the cities and individual cyclists will be awarded, distinctions are also waiting for those who will be spinning kilometers for Poznań. The 20 best women and 20 best men will receive prizes in kind - gift cards to a sports store and T-shirts with the logo of the action. Compared to last year, it has been decided to double the number of persons awarded with vouchers. Both women and men ranked 21-100 will receive gifts in the form of special T-shirts with the logo of the action. In addition, one hundred best women and men will be able to take part in the drawing of prizes in the form of bicycle accessories.
