House no. 69
The house no longer exists; the only thing that remains are the outlines of the foundations marked in the pavement in Paderewskiego Street. House No. 69 was pulled down to make way for the new street in 1839.
A few years ago, some remnants of a wooden dwelling were revealed during archaeological excavations. Fire gutted both the dwelling (presumably in 1447) and the tenement house later erected in its place. It was then reconstructed in the first half of the sixteenth century and survived for almost three hundred years. A drawing made prior to the demolition shows the side façade with distinctive wooden porches.
The list of the owners includes Piotr Gelhor and Jan Glazer, renowned goldsmiths who lived in the sixteenth century.
