Dual study programmes - the outcome of cooperation between the Poznan universities and companies

The offer of dual study programmes in Poznan established in cooperation with the employers has been extending. The graduates of dual study programmes boost their chances to become the experts in the sectors being the City's priorities and find a job without a hitch, while the companies benefit from the programmes and recruit the young employees with necessary skills and experience.

The most extensive offer of dual study programmes in Poznan has been developed by Volkswagen. The company cooperates with 6 Poznan universities under the partner agreements, namely with the Poznan University of Technology, University of Economics and Business, Adam Mickiewicz University, University of Life Sciences, University of Medical Science and University of Physical Education.

The innovative dual study programmes under the auspices of Volkswagen brand effectively combine practical and theoretical knowledge. The graduates are awarded the engineer title and gain the "Automation Engineer" profession certified with the exam of the Polish-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK). The offer of dual study programmes is addressed to the students of "Automatic Control and Robotics" at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Poznan University of Technology.

Volkswagen Poznan provides the students and graduates of non-technical faculties with the development opportunities among others under the Business Development Program (BDP) scholarship programme implemented in cooperation with the Poznan University of Economics and Business.

In addition, the Poznan University of Economics and Business offers the "Financial Risk Management" faculty co-established with the Raiffeisen Polbank - more than a half of the seminars is carried out by the practitioners. The aim of education at this faculty is to provide the students with specialist knowledge and skills in the area of managing different types of financial risk, including in particular market, credit and operational risks. Each "Financial Risk Management" student will be employed in the international financial institution on full-time or half-time basis during the two-year internship in order to gain unique professional experience and demonstrate 2 years of seniority upon graduation.

The WSB University in Poznan offers the dual study programme directly related to the financial sector. The "Finance and Accounting" stationary studies are carried out in cooperation with a group of Poznan companies:  BDO, FIGURES. Kancelaria rachunkowa, Grant Thornton, MAN, KWB Kancelaria wsparcia finansowego, Bthink, Morison Finansista, Mexichem and PKF Polska. During the studies, the students commence an internship covering 120 hours a month. Each term (starting from the 3. term) is divided into two months of studying in the WSB University and two months of internship in a selected company. Studying at the "Finance and Accounting" faculty provide extensive job or professional career opportunities, while the graduates with knowledge and skills in this area will be in great demand among the potential employers.

Dual study programmes are an innovative solution and guarantee their students the necessary experience on the labour market even before graduation.
