Safe Poznań - Safe EURO
2011-11-16
During the last two days, in connection with the Poland-Hungary match, two observation teams have been operating in Poznań: the International Advisory and Evaluation Team for EURO 2012 with the participation of, among others, David Bohannan, leader of the pan-European Think Tank operating at the Council of the European Union, Gunther Mark, responsible for safety at the EURO 2008 in Austria and Jo Vanhecke, responsible for safety at EURO 2000 in Belgium. The delegation was headed by General Adam Rapacki, Deputy Minister of the Interior and Administration (MSWiA). The team observed the preparations for their safety at the match of the Polish national team.
Similar tasks were attributed to the second observation team, composed of representatives of MSWiA, Pl 2012, PZPN, KGP, KG PSP, ABW and BOR. During the meeting in the City Hall, its participants discussed topics related to safety during both UEFA EURO 2012™ and the match at the Municipal Stadium in Poznań held on Tuesday.
Similar visits took place during the recent games of the Polish national team in Gdańsk and Wrocław.
