During the annual CEE Business Services Summit&Awards 2021, the City of Poznan won in the "most dynamically developing city in Poland" category, beating Tri-City, Katowice and Bydgoszcz.

In order to enter the competition, it was necessary to present data on the growth of new investments in the sector of modern business services as well as projects and initiatives that support the development of the BPO/SSC industry. In the period 2019-2020, Poznan could boast of 7 new investment projects, which means an increase of 18% compared to previous years. Investor Relations Department data confirm that the entire sector of modern business services in Poznan already comprises 114 companies employing over 20,500 employees.

The jury of the competition included European experts from the modern services sector from leading companies and business environment institutions, incl. Elias van Herwaarden (Partner at Colliers International) and Romek Lubaczewski (Partner at PwC).

- Another business award for Poznan confirms that we create a great investment climate in the city, and that companies can develop and grow here. Despite the difficult economic situation caused by the pandemic and lockdown, Poznan still maintains a high position - emphasizes Bartosz Guss, Deputy Mayor of the City of Poznan.

The Poznan company of the year from in the business services sector was also selected during the CEE Business Services Summit&Awards gala. The award went to GSK Tech Poznań, which in the last year focused on development, increasing employment and opening a modern office in the Business Garden complex.

- We are very pleased with both awards: for the City of Poznan and for GSK Tech Poznań! Recently, the interest in Poznan among investors has been high, we handle many inquiries. The year 2021 started really well, which we will soon be able to confirm with the announcement of new projects - adds Katja Lożina, Director of the Investor Relations Department.

The CEE Business Services Summit&Awards was held this year for the 9th time and for years has been one of the most prestigious competitions for the modern services industry in the entire CEE region. It brings together independent experts, business representatives and representatives of regional cities. During this year's conference, an expert roundtable was also held, attended by representatives of the Investor Relations Department of the City of Poznan and representatives of the romanian city Iași.
