Is The Polish Manufacturing Industry Digitized?
The study showed that technological changes in the manufacturing industry are common, and their planning and implementation go beyond IT departments. According to 92% of respondents, digital transformation is a combination of business and technology. Half of them claimed that their companies' IT systems are present in every key area of activity. At the same time, respondents believe that for the success of digital transformation it is important to focus first on the automation of production, implementation, and optimal use of ERP systems.
- The report shows the condition of digitization in Polish manufacturing companies. We also present a universal plan to bring the company closer to the factory of the future. This is the result of the collected survey responses and our conversations with customers, and visits to many manufacturing companies - says Krystian Stypczyński, Head of Consulting Department at NTT DATA Business Solutions sp. z o.o.
The study illustrates how manufacturing companies define the concept of the factory of the future, what routes they choose to reach it, and what challenges they face in the digital transformation process. The survey was conducted among nearly 100 heads of production as well as digitization and IT managers. Its results were commented on by invited C-Level decision-makers and analyzed and described by experts from NTT DATA Business Solutions, SAP, and the Center for Research and Development of Modern Technologies. The results were divided into four main areas: strategy, digital maturity analysis, competencies and knowledge, and readiness for change.
The premiere of the report took place during the New Horizons'22 conference in Warsaw. The co-authors presented the key conclusions of the study. The premiere was accompanied by extensive discussions with the participants. Download the report: HERE
