2nd "Chop (in) POZnań" Concert - Marek Bracha - piano

The "Chop (in) POZnań" series of events co-organized by the City Development and Foreign Relations Department of the PoznańCity Hall and the Music Theatre in Poznań was launched on 13 June 2018. The aim of the series is to popularize the knowledge on the life and creation of Frédéric Chopin and emphasise his relations with Poznań and Wielkopolska, as well as to promote the works of Frédéric Chopin amongst the international audience staying in Wielkopolska and in Poznań permanently or temporarily. The series of concerts is addressed particularly to students from all around the world who chose Poznań to study here and to learn about the Polish culture, history and even everyday life.

New law on higher education has been given the green light in Sejm
 

New law on higher education has been given the green light in Sejm

Yesterday before midnight Polish Sejm (lower chamber of Polish parliament) adopted, with more than 80 amendments, the Law on Higher Education and Science (Ustawa 2.0 - so-called Constitution for Science) and its introductory regulations. 233 deputies voted for the new law, 195 were against it and 1 abstained from voting. The next step in the legislative process will be voting on the act in the Senat and submitting the project for signature by the President.
