Success in chess of a student from Poznań

Klaudia Kulon, a student of Poznań University of Economics and Business, among 5 female players represented Poland in Chess Olympiad in Baku (Azerbaijan).

The team has won the silver medal. It is the greatest success of Polish female chess in the history. The student from Poznań has also obtain the best result in the team - she got 9 out of 11 points resulting in a bronze medal in the individual classification of her chessboard. The only team which performed better was the Chinese team - front-runners of the Olympiad. The Polish won with Ukraine, Russia, India and the USA. Klaudia competed also in Trzcianka in the Ferdynand Dziedzic International Chess Memorial, known to be the biggest 1-day chess tournament in Poland.
