The Poznan University of Economics, Muza Cinema invite you to a unique series of film screenings and meetings. The idea behind the "Move to Movie" series is to familiarize foreign cultures, making Poznan more user-friendly site for foreigners and enrich the cultural offer of the city with events of cosmopolitan nature.
"Move to Movie" is directed not only to foreigners studying, working or residing in Poznan for tourism, but also to Poles who want to be better in English. All the films in the repertoire will be shown with subtitles in English and in Polish. Screenings will be held once a month on Thursdays at Muza Cinema within the Decently Affordable Thursdays - tickets for the price of PLN 8 can be purchased at the cinema box office and online.
We believe that the cycle will also be an opportunity to meet people from different cultures and specific exchange of cultural experiences. Some of the screenings will be preceded by presentations of the countries of films origin - explains Iwona Cieślik, Head of Marketing of UEP.
The screening of the film "Wild Tales" (production: Argentina, Spain) begins the cycle on 21 April at 9 p.m. In May, we will watch the movie Mustang (production: France, Germany, Turkey, Qatar) and in June "White God" (production: Hungary).
Małgorzata Kuzdra, Manager of Muza Cinema, appreciates the cooperation with the international community in Poznan: - For several months, we organize regular screenings of Polish films with English subtitles, increasing access to cinema projection for foreigners living in Poznań. Developing the project "Move to Movie" it is another step to make Poznan an open city, also in terms of culture.
Only foreign students studying in Poznan there are nearly 3.5 thousand. (Including approx. 800 people at the Erasmus programme exchange). Most students of full degree programmes come from the Ukraine, Belarus, Norway and the USA. These are people who contribute to GDP growth in Poznan and build its image in the world.
