The teams will represent the individual countries and least 4 citizens of the given country will be part of these teams and will appear on the football field. The tournament is open to the teams from all over the world, therefore, in addition to the European teams, we will also see the national teams from Iran, Iraq and Brazil. In this year's edition, in Group A, the following teams will play with each other: Sweden, Iran, Portugal and Brazil, and in Group B: Iraq, Spain, Ukraine and Poland. Nearly 500 international students from more than 50 countries participated in the past 5 editions!
As befits the international competition, the national anthems will be played before the matches. The game will be for the splendid EUROASMUS AND FRIENDS CUP 2017 and the first 3 teams will be awarded commemorative medals. The organisers also provided individual awards for the best goalkeeper and player of the tournament, and will also award the best dressed team. Each participant, regardless of the position occupied, will receive a commemorative tournament T-shirt.
The organisers invite you to support the teams jointly and to spend the whole day together, as the tournament has a form of an international student integration picnic in the park atmosphere and a barbecue in the background. The competition will continue until 10:00, with a break for the ceremonial inauguration at 12:00, and its crowning will be the final matches played from 18:00, followed by the ceremony of presenting the awards and closing the tournament.
In 2012, the winners were the Poles, in 2013 - the Swiss, in 2014 - the Norwegians, in 2015 - the Georgians and in 2016 - the Spanish. Who will win in 2017? We will see on Thursday, 8 June, at about 19:00.
