The City of Poznań received the following awards and commemorations for its activities for environment protection:

• Award granted by the Minister of Environment - the title of 2002 Polish Ecology Leader for the enterprise entitled: "Comprehensive set of actions for the improvement of environment condition with special consideration for the improvement of air quality";
• the HIT 2002 award for the pro-ecological enterprises with special consideration for the actions for the improvement of the atmospheric air quality;
• the 2003 Green Apple award from the non-governmental organisations in the United Kingdom;
• the bronze UNEP award - International Awards for Liveable Communities (Canada, 2004);
• the 2004 final of the National Ecological Competition entitled "Environmentally-Friendly" in the category of the "Environmentally-Friendly Commune";
• commemoration for the best promotional campaign for the promotion of natural environment guides to the ecological sites situated in the city of Poznań - commemoration grated in 2006.
