This building is a permanent fixture of the Poznań landscape. It is an example of modernism, i.e. the trend born during the twenty-year interwar period, which also continued in the post-war era. "Okrąglak" draws admiration with its architectural form and the people of Poznań cannot imagine the city centre without it! After all, the capital of Wielkopolska is one of the few Polish cities which was able to protect the most important monuments of post-war modernism. There may be no other place where the buildings erected in this style are treated as symbols, showcases of the city.
