The main objective of The France Prešeren Cultural Association of Videm by Ptuj operation is presentation and preservation of cultural values in the field of literature, art, music, dance, folklore singing and dancing, theatre, organisation of exhibitions and similar. Thus there are 10 different sections working within the association. It cooperates closely with the local community.
Role in the project:
In the first stages of the project the association will present various areas of their operation to pupils in Videm; different association sections will organize a cultural day for the Primary School Videm pupils, during which they will conduct workshops for students, enabling them to try themselves out in various artistic fields and to find their interests and possible strengths. Thus the association will help in the preliminary evaluation of pupils' interests and discovering those arts that pupils enjoy the most. The school will then aim to develop pupils' competences implementing and testing various methods. The association will also organise theatre workshops for a group for pupils and for teacher -trainees, who will later use the methods in regular classes.
