They will create a match "eleven". They have to be very sociable and help us to support the promotional activities of the city. Who are they? The Ambassadors of Poznań, City-Host of UEFA EURO 2012™!

The first Ambassadors were appointed by the President Ryszard Grobelny during the presentation of the official tournament logo in December 2009. Also Father Jan Góra and rapper Mezo received nominations.

During the following months these people joined the team of Ambassadors: Bartosz Bosacki, Katarzyna Bujakiewicz, Maciej Kurak, Katarzyna Werner and Andrzej Maleszka. The eighth Ambassador who was selected on the occasion of 500 days countdown to the championship and the unveiling of a mock-up for the blind was Jerzy Łączny. Who will be next?

The proud title of "Ambassador'

Ambassadors are people representing different environments. Although they work in other professions, in Poznań they are also popular as Ambassadors. Together they create a team which will support the city's preparations for the tournament on several levels. With their help activities will involve the inhabitants of Poznań of all ages and interests. Social projects, which will start one year before the European Football Championships, UEFA EURO 2012™, are created by the Ambassadors, together with a social revival of Poznań by its inhabitants and the creation of an atmosphere of cheerful expectation for the biggest ever sports event in the city!
