The second bi-lateral meeting of YALE partners was held in Berlin, April 9-11. This time the meeting had a very practical approach and was a very intense exchange of experiences between partners. Representatives from Poznań participating in the study visit were: educational authorities, Astrid Lindgren Institute and three partner kindergarten.
The main goal of the study visit was to learn the context of pre-school education in Berlin and the pedagogical approach of kindergarten managed by Kinder in Bewegung. Participants had an opportunity to take part directly in the work of kindergarten, observe and ask questions.
Additionally, for the representatives of educational authorities, a parallel meeting was held in the Senate, to discuss more organizational matters concerning management of kindergartens.
The study visit was summarized during the evaluation meeting, where all participants shared their impressions. Most of them were very positive as the meeting was intense and inspiring. From the perspective of participants from Poznań, the main challenge is now to analyze the possibilities of adapting some of the Berlin's solutions on the local ground.
