Faculty of Political Science and Journalism at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań together with the City of Poznań cordially invite you to an open lecture by Dr Tammi Sinha entitled "Energising Our Universities Through Continuous Improvement." The lecture will take place on June 24 at 3.30 PM at the Faculty of Political Science and Journalism, ul. Uniwersytetu Poznańskiego 5, room 120 (first floor). With over 30 years of experience as a Lean practitioner, academic and change agent, she is passionate about developing capability across sectors through the application of systems thinking, Lean, continuous improvement, and sustainability. Her focus is on management education, exploring approaches linking LEGO® Serious Play® and other forms of experiential learning. Tammi Sinha is working on integrating regenerative business methods with communities of practice within Higher Education and beyond. She is the Director of Undergraduate Programs and a Senior Lecturer in Operations Management at Surrey Business School, as well as a member of the University of Surrey's Institute for Sustainability. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and holds a Lean Foundation and Practitioner certification. Previously, as IT Continuous Improvement Lead at the University of Southampton, she applied Lean principles and tools to optimize processes, services, and projects within a university context. Her mission is to support diverse teams in grounding their work in regenerative methods and sustainability by eliminating waste and pollution, reusing resources, and regenerating natural systems. She is an academic practitioner whose research interests include climate action, circular design, and supply chains. She applies effective, innovative methods such as LEGO® Serious Play® and Communities of Practice to engage and empower stakeholders and learners. She is also an active member of several networks and groups promoting improvement and sustainability, such as the Wessex Green Hub, Improvement & Sustainability Community of Practice, and Lean Higher Education Global and Europe, and an independent assessor for the L7 Systems Thinking Apprenticeship (Advance HE).
