Śródka and Commandry

1.  Church of St. John of Jerusalem Beyond the Walls - One of the first examples of brickwork masonry in Poland. Mieszko the Old funded and bequeathed the church to the order of the same name, later known as the Knights of Malta.


2. Śródka - A settlement that rendered services to the duke who built it in the 12th century. In 1288, Przemysł II handed Śródka over to the Church. Śródka had a municipal charter from 1425 till 1800.
