The digital library is collecting and sharing through the Internet the literary achievements of Wielkopolska in a digitized form, including educational resource (scripts, textbooks and research monographs); cultural heritage resources (selected relics of literature owned by libraries in Poznan); regional materials (literature concerning Poznan and Wielkopolska); musical materials (notes and literature related to music). It was established as a joint initiative of the Poznan scientists. Project participants are research and public libraries of Poznan.

The Wielkopolska Digital Library provides on-line historical address books, lists of names and places.
