Professor Pablo Blanco Sarto studied philosophy at the University of the Holy Cross in Rome. In 1997, he obtained a doctoral degree in philosophy, and he completed his doctoral studies in theology at the University of Navarre in Pamplona. The basis for obtaining the title of doctor in 2005 in the discipline of theological science was a dissertation devoted to fundamental theology in the thought of Józef Ratzinger ('La theología fundamental y de las religiones en Joseph Ratzinger'). In 2006/2007, he completed an internship at the Faculty of Evangelical Theology at the Ludwing-Maximilians Universitat in Munich. The outcomes of his scientific research are monographs and numerous scientific articles. His interests include the theology of Joseph Ratzinger, as well as issues in ecumenism.
