STUDENTS COMPETE: University sports

The Poznań University Athletics Association is the country's largest and most active UAA chapter.

It is made up of two competitive sports clubs which train at all levels, up to the Olympic. Poznań strengths include, among others, athletics, fencing, tennis, acrobatics, rowing and women basketball. Poznań UAA has organized five university world championships in various sports disciplines, as well as two university European championships. To compete more recreationally, students sign up for regional games (in Poland's largest series off events comprising 54 sports disciplines), summer or winter sports camps.

Students compete in the Polish University Championship, the Inter-University League Champions' Tournament, the Academic Wielkopolska Championship, the Freshman Championship and the Rector's cup.
