Micromobility in Poznań

On Sunday, September 12, residents of Poznan had the opportunity to participate in the event "Hulaj przepisowo". The event organized by Poznan CityLab promoted safe micromobility in urban space. Many people enjoyed a free ride on an electric scooter and shared their opinion on the future of urban micromobility zones.

Micromobility in Poznań - discussions with residents

Representatives of companies renting scooters - Bolt, Lime and Dott - were waiting for visitors to Plac Wolności (Freedom Square). The offer of electric scooters was also presented by the store ERIDERS. At Freedom Square also appeared representatives of the City of Poznań, Wielkopolska Investment Support Center, Municipal Police and firefighters of OSP Krzesiny, who took care of the safety of the gathered participants.

During the event, the smart city team collected opinions of residents on possible improvements in the functioning of electric scooters in the city space. Participation in the survey allowed its participants to express their opinion on the possibility of creating rental zones, which would be a solution to the problem of abandoning electric scooters in places not intended for this purpose.

- A way to deal with this problem could be the introduction of rental zones. However, the implementation of such a solution depends primarily on the opinion of the residents of Poznań - emphasized Michał Łakomski, Plenipotentiary of the Mayor of Poznań for Smart City. You can still express your opinion and take part in the survey.

- The event organized by the Poznań City Hall was an excellent opportunity to see how convenient and safe means of transport are electric scooters - of course when complying with current regulations. We must protect ourselves doubly, it means to comply with the rules, but also to observe other users - said Jan Popowski, owner of the showroom ERIDERS in Poznan. This approach allows conflict-free sharing of urban space with other users.

"Hulaj przepisowo" is an example of an event which makes communication between citizens, local government and companies operating in the segment of electric scooters possible. We would like to thank all participants for their interest and involvement, both in promotion of micromobility and contribution to creation of modern solutions in urban space.

We encourage you to fill in the questionnaire (available in Polish).
