- All runners in Poznan associate autumn with the marathon. This time, unusually, we want to offer the competitors to run the half of the royal distance - says Łukasz Miadziołko, Director of the 13th PKO Poznan Half Marathon. - This is the safest possibility to run in pandemic conditions. When organizing the run we will also introduce a number of other precautions.

Two formulas of the run

The start and finish line will return to the Poznan International Fair. Only people who have been vaccinated with a full dose of Sars-Cov-2 coronavirus vaccine and who voluntarily show the official EU vaccination certificate to the organizer will be allowed to physically stand at the common start for 5 thousand runners. Failure to present the certificate will make it impossible to collect the participation package and thus to participate in the 13th PKO Poznan Half Marathon.

On 17th October the Competition Office will be closed and there will be no possibility to sign up and collect the participation package.

In addition, it will be possible to participate in the virtual run on 11-17 October, in which the participant selects the route and completes it individually, using a prepared application. The second formula is available for both vaccinated and unvaccinated participants.

In both cases, participants receive starting packages, and their results are included in the official list of the 13th PKO Poznan Half Marathon.

Starting fees for participation in the 13th PKO Poznan Half Marathon in the traditional version

• registration until 20 September 2021 - fee of PLN 95 (online and in person),
• registration 21 September - 14 October 2021r. - fee of PLN 120 (online and in person),
• applications on 15th and 16th October 2021r. - the fee of PLN 150 (only in person at the Competition Office at MTP).

Starting fees for participation in the half-marathon in the virtual formula

• with personal collection at the Competition Office: Start package - 65 PLN (registration in the application, cast medal, technical T-shirt with the brand of the run, sailing type bag with the brand of the run, start number and diploma to be printed by yourself),
• packet delivery by courier (within Poland): start package - PLN 77 (registration in the application form, cast medal, technical T-shirt with race brand, sack of sailors type with race brand, start number and diploma for printing).

Route

Currently we are working on the route, which will be presented soon. At the moment only the place of the start and finish is certain. While waiting for the long-awaited start, we encourage you to follow the latest news about the competition on the website www.halfmarathon.poznan.pl and fanpage.

What about the 21st PKO Poznan Marathon?

The decision to organize the 13th PKO Poznan Half Marathon means that in 2021 no full marathon distance race will be held in Poznan. We hope that 42.195 m will return to our city soon. All persons who paid the fee for the 21st PKO Poznań Marathon and transferred the amount to future events organized by POSiR will receive a refund after 10 August 2021. When registering for the 13th PKO Poznań Half Marathon you will have to make another payment.
