Weekend in Poznan

The first weekend in September promises to be an interesting one. As every year, there will be many attractions waiting for the city's residents in connection with the city harvest festival. The season of outdoor concerts is still underway - the Citadel Park will host Summer Sounds. Residents will also be able to take part in the latest events in the "Lato z Estradą"  series, and on Sunday Krzysztof Hołowczyc and Mieczysław Hryniewicz will present the title of "Poznań Taxi Driver of the Year".

Summer Sounds

The coming weekend promises to be a concert-filled one. On Friday and Saturday, the city's residents will hear the Summer Sounds Festival at Cytadela Park. Among those performing on stage will be: The Dumplings, Mrozu, Nosowska and Vito Bambino. In addition to the concerts, additional attractions such as a DIY zone and garland-making workshops are planned.

Playing with theatre - Festival of Backyard Theatre

The organisers invite you to the 3rd edition of the Festival of Backyard Theatres. The event runs from 1 to 3 September. Alte Hajm/ Old house

Alte hajm in Yiddish means old house. It is a term that many Orthodox Jews also use to refer to the "old country"- Poland. The story presented here is about a place where ghosts live. The performance is directed by Marcin Wierzchowski.

StaroŁyna music scene

The Tamitu Foundation and the asz.teatr invite you to a concert organised as part of the "StaroŁyna" project. The main artist of the event will be Jakub Paluszkiewicz, presenting his own programme in ascetic arrangements - when singing, he accompanies himself on the acoustic guitar, sometimes adding a few harmonica sounds or percussion impulses. In some of the songs he touches on maritime and nautical themes.

Outdoor cinema in Starołęka

The Starołęka-Minikowo Housing Estate Council together with the "Ad Arte" Cultural Education Foundation invite you to a film journey as part of the open-air cinema in Starołęka. Maria Malcher - exhibition opening

City Harvest Festival

This coming weekend also marks the symbolic end of the harvest. The event will begin with a procession that will set off at 2 p.m. from St. Michael the Archangel Church in Stolarska Street. Its participants will walk along Śniadeckich Street to Wilson Park. They will be accompanied by the Poznań City Orchestra. The harvest festival will be held together with the XXV Bread Festival in Wielkopolska, organised by the Association of Baking Craftsmen of the Republic of Poland together with the Guild of Confectioners and Bakers in Poznań.

Family Bike Rally

Once again this year, residents of Poznań housing estates will be able to spend time in an active way. On 2 and 3 September, a Family Bike Rally will take place. Routes of approximately 30 km have been prepared for the participants. Those wishing to take part should register in advance using the form. There is a limited number of places available.

The performance of " Włoszczyzna"

Summer with Estrada invites you to a journey together: a performance by the family theatre TeatRyle, that is Mariola and Marcin Ryl-Krystianowski. They continue the family tradition and are the next generation of puppeteers. The main characters of "Włoszczyzna" are Celery (Seler) and Parsley (Pietruszka), who, together with Marchewka (Carrot) and Por (Leek), are freezing in the Polish market in winter. One day they find out that they come from Italy and decide to return to their homeland.

Dance show and workshop "To dance Andalusia"

15th National Congress of Women

Holidays with the Animation Theatre

Animation Theatre invites its youngest spectators to an outdoor performance. This Saturday they will be able to see the play "Mission Poznan. Where are the goats?". Dora Dynks and Waldemar Wihajster, i.e. a rash pair of investigators, receive a new assignment. This time it is an exceptionally serious mission - someone has abducted the famous goats from the Poznań City Hall. Time passes inexorably, because if the goats are not on the tower at high noon, a catastrophe will happen.
