European Cities and Regions of the Future 2023/2024

For another year, the City of Poznań conquered the podium in the annual fDi Intelligence survey. According to the report "European Cities and Regions of the Future 2023", the capital of Wielkopolska is the second most business-friendly city! In the overall ranking, it took 7th place among locations such as Hamburg, Rotterdam and Manchester. This year, Poznań qualified in the large cities category.

The Business-friendly City of the Year in terms of support for local authorities

The award was granted during the annual Future of Emerging Europe Summit and Awards 2022 gala organized by Emerging Europe. An important part of the achievement is the fact that applications for this competition category were not open. The results come from the Emerging Europe study and FDI experts. More than a hundred cities were analyzed in detail across the category.

BEST TEAM in the 5th edition of the TOP WOMAN in Real Estate Competition

Girls from BOI Team were awarded in the BEST TEAM category for teams managed by a woman and last year stood out from others in this sector. 

European Cities and Regions of the Future 2022/2023 Poznań was awarded in the fDi Intelligence ranking - European Cities and Regions of the Future!

The City of Poznań was ranked 5th in the general classification of medium-sized cities. The authors of the ranking, Financial Times experts, classified our city in the following categories:

  • 2nd place in the category of business friendliness
  • 4th place in the category of strategies for acquiring direct foreign investments
  • 8th place in the category of economic potential

A total of 356 cities were analyzed in the ranking, divided into five categories in terms of population (Poznań was among medium-sized cities).

1st Place In The City Category In The 4th Financial Ranking Of The Local Government In Poland

The 4th Financial Ranking of Local Governments in Poland is presented every year during the European Congress of Local Governments, which is a place for the exchange of views and meetings of local government leaders, regional elites with representatives of state administration, non-governmental organizations and business. The ranking was prepared by independent scientists from the Institute for Eastern Studies Foundation (the organizer of the Economic Forum in Karpacz) in cooperation with the Wrocław University of Economics, based on the examination of official financial statements submitted by local governments to the Regional Audit Chamber.

City of the Year 2021

The City of Poznań was awarded the City of the Year title in a competition organized by the prestigious EuropaProperty magazine. The aim of the competition is to draw attention to the dynamic development of investment markets in Central and Eastern Europe and the achievements of individual companies in the commercial real estate industry. By awarding Poznań the title of the City of the Year, the jurors appreciated, i.a. the unflagging - despite the pandemic - the pace of investment implementation in Poznań, carried out by both the City and other private or institutional investors.

CEE Business Services Summit&Awards 2021

The City of Poznań won in the category of "the most dynamically developing city in Poland", beating the Tri-City, Katowice and Bydgoszcz. To enter the competition, it was necessary to present data on the growth of new investments in the sector of modern business services as well as projects and initiatives that support the development of the BPO/SSC industry. The event was held for the 9th time and for years has been one of the most prestigious competitions for the modern services industry in the entire CEE region. It brings together independent experts, business representatives and representatives of regional cities.

Ranking "Pearls of the Local Government" 2020

Poznań received a distinction in the "Good Practice Leader" category for two projects that were launched in 2019: the pozitive technologies conference and the EU project "Let's play in Wielkopolska". "Pearls of the Local Government" is a plebiscite organized annually by Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.

Prime Property Prize 2020

The Prime Property Prize competition, organized by the publisher of the PropertyNews.pl and PropertyDesign.pl portals, aims to select companies and projects that have had the greatest impact on events in the commercial real estate market last year.

Poznań won in the Investor-Friendly City category. The award confirms that we provide entrepreneurs with friendly conditions for running a business in Poznań and we duly support them.

Emerging Europe Business-Friendly Cities Perception 2020 Ranking

Poznań was ranked high in three categories:

  • 3rd place in the "LOCAL AUTHORITY SUPPORT" category
  • 4th place in the "SMART CITY DEVELOPMENT" category (first place among Polish cities in this category)
  • 6th place in the "QUALITY OF LIFE" category

Outsourcing Stars 2019

Poznań was awarded the first prize in the category: The city - the best location for the business service sector.

The competition is aimed at selecting and awarding the most dynamic outsourcing organizations, shared service centres and business environment institutions in the modern business service sector in Poland. The competition has continuously been organized for seven years now, with Poznań winning the first prize in the category 6 times.

The Outsourcing Starts competition is organized by the Pro Progression Foundation which is focused on the development of entrepreneurship in Poland, particularly in the business service sector.

The indicators subject to analysis include:

- the number of graduates of economics and computer science,

- the number of new projects in the business service sector in Poznań,

- the number of outsourcing events supported by the City.

Municipality for 5! (Gmina na 5!)

The City of Poznan has won the prestigious title of Gmina na 5! (Municipality for 5!) awarded by the Institute of Enterprise of the SGH Warsaw School of Economics. Over 650 municipalities from all over Poland were examined. The quality and professionalism of handling the inquiries of the investors and entrepreneurs in coming to the city hall were examined. Poznan was also included in the group of municipalities, which were awarded for the third time in a row, and it received a special "Złota Gmina na 5!" (Golden Municipality for 5!) award.
