Annual Investment Meeting 2019 in Dubai
The Annual Investment Meeting is an event where world-class experts, scientists and practitioners associated with the investment industry are present. There are a lot of representatives of the Middle East and Africa among exhibitors. The city of Poznan was a member of a delegation of municipalities from the Wielkopolskie Voivodeship, chaired by the Deputy Marshall of the Voivodeship, Jacek Bogusławski. Projects of Poznan and other communes were presented at a common stand promoting Wielkopolska region. The participation was co-financed from the EU funds.
The delegation of Wielkopolska region just right to the delegation of Malopolska region was one of the two representations of Poland at that conference. Apart from the promotion of the Wolne Tory project, we were trying to work together on the recognisability of the region and Poznan among Middle Eastern investors.
The Wielkopolska stand was visited by potential investors and representatives of consulting companies. The employees of the Polish embassy in the UAE, the Polish Investment and Trade Agency and Polish entrepreneurs operating on the local market also visited us. We have had many conversations, among others with representatives of government institutions of the UAE and Saudi Arabia, both at their stand and Wielkopolska one.
Participation in the AIM 2019 fair took place as part of the Wielkopolska Regional Operational Program for the years 2014-2020, Measure 1.4: Internationalization of the regional economy, Sub-measure 1.4.2: Economic promotion of the region, Non-competitive project "Gospodarna Wielkopolska".
