- It is another very important decision for us, which shows the trust of investors to the City. The sector of modern services in our city is growing very dynamically. Within three years, from 10 thousand jobs we have reached an increase to 16 thousand jobs. There is no other city in Poland with such indices - says Jacek Jaśkowiak, Mayor of Poznan.

There are several factors speaking in favour of choosing Poznan as the service centre for foreign investors. The representatives of John Deere indicate that the job market of Poznan has not yet been over-saturated with such undertakings and is developing steadily. Another factor is the high level of education. Poznan is a very important academic centre offering qualified graduates. The third factor is the diversified economy that makes the capital of Wielkopolska an interesting place, different in comparison with other locations of such investments in Poland. Thanks to that Poznan will gain 120 new jobs.

- We have cooperated with agricultural universities in the past. Now, we are going to search for employees with linguistic education. These can be Spanish, French, English, German and other languages. We will also employ graduates of economic universities who will be able to serve our needs related to finances, accounting, logistics and human resources management - explains Tanja Knickel, Chief Financial Officer of John Deere.

The sector of services is a very important element of the city's development. At the moment there are 16 thousand people employed there, whereas the number of functioning centres in Poznan is approximately 80.

- Poznan is one of the largest academic centres in Poland. Approximately 116.5 thousand people study here annually, which is why we are searching for companies and enterprises which can offer university graduates interesting jobs. All that can be guaranteed by John Deere, which is the reason why we insist on developing a reliable relationship with it. The company fits well into the strategic goal of the City's development - the introduction of a modern and attractive entrepreneurship that develops a strong and diversified economy in Poznan - adds Mayor Jacek Jaśkowiak.
