GUESS Chooses Logistics Services Offered by Arvato Supply Chain Solutions in Poland
GUESS is one of the most recognizable brands in the clothing industry. The dedicated warehouse space covers 20,000 m 2. Arvato SCS provides services for GUESS for the B2C channel, which means the shipment of individual customer orders to several dozen countries in Europe and other continents, and the shipment in the B2B channel (e.g. supply to marketplaces). In the first year of cooperation, Arvato SCS will employ around 100 people, and in the high season, this number may even double.
- The new distribution centre in Poland will allow us to achieve goals such as diversification, increasing efficiency and constantly providing GUESS customers with trouble-free shopping. The opening of a fully dedicated E-Commerce Service Center is the result of the excellent cooperation between ARVATO SCS and GUESS, achieved despite many unknowns related to the pandemic during which this project was born. The new Polish distribution centre complements GUESS's 2021 logistics target, aimed at strengthening the omnichannel service in Northeast Europe and ensuring distribution opportunities for the coming years, says Marcello De Melgazzi, European Logistics Director at Guess.
The logistics centre provides services such as acceptance of deliveries, warehousing, packing, returns management, as well as additional VAS services for the range of clothing, handbags, footwear, and accessories. The entire operation is carried out on the basis of the WMS SAP Arvato IT system, specially configured for the client's needs on a warehouse infrastructure designed, purchased, and installed by Arvato Supply Chain Solutions.
