The Department of Civil Engineering and Transport at the Poznań University of Technology and the City of Poznań invite you to an open lecture by Dr. Eng. Carmen Górska-Putyńska, titled "The dynamics of fire in wooden buildings". The lecture will be held on 16 December 2022 at 11.00, in room 302 of the Poznań University, ul. Jana Pawła II 28.
Dr. Eng. Carmen Górska Putyńska graduated engineering studies in the field of construction at the Poznań University of Technology. She then graduated with honours the prestigious Erasmus Mundus "International Master of Fire Safety Engineering" studies. She obtained her PhD at the University of Queensland, Australia. Currently, she works at the CERN (European Organisation for Nuclear Research) research centre in Switzerland.
In addition to scientific activities, she also promotes women's activities in the STEM sector, being, among others, the ambassador of the Athena SWAN program.
